HydraFacial is not only highly effective at improving overall skin health, but also excellent for remedying:
A chemical peel is an aesthetic procedure to achieve better skin tone and remove fine lines, especially on the face. The chemical solution removes outer layers of skin damaged by age, sun, acne, wrinkles, or pigmentation problems. Removing the outer skin prompts the body to generate a new layer of skin cells. Chemical peels may not be appropriate for darker skin complexions.
Benefits of a chemical peel:
At the time of your procedure any active skin disease, infection, or acne needs to be under control in order to maximize results. There are several different types of chemical solutions ranging from mild to very strong. The aesthetician will select what is best for the patient based on skin condition, color, and desired result.
During the procedure the aesthetician cleans the skin of oils then carefully applies a solution to remove the layers of damaged skin. The skin will turn white and is now neutralized and cleansed.
What should I do after a peel?
You need to limit sun exposure and wear sunscreen because your skin is more sensitive for about 1 week. Avoid strenuous activity for about 2-3 days. Avoid harsh scrubbing of the skin. If your skin is peeling, do not “help” the skin to peel – you can use a moisturizer to help with flaking. Resume Retin A after 1 week if you are using it.
Microneedling tightens the skin as well as removes the dead skin cells by creating micro-channels in the skin to allow serums and products to penetrate deeper during treatment. This treatment makes it possible to reach the damaged cells in the dermal layer in order to repair the damaged cells through Percutaneous Collagen Induction Therapy (PCIT). PCIT tricks the skin into thinking it needs to repair itself, allowing for direct blood flow to that area that then rebuilds the fiber blasts and remodels the collagen.
How does it work?
Microneedling creates a series of predictable, controlled epidermal and dermal micro-injuries, thereby stimulating the body’s immune response to produce new collagen and elastin. Microneedling is used in combination with Hyaluronic Acid peptides gel and other peptide gels to hydrate and re-epithelialize the skin. It is also used extensively to infuse anti-redness, lightening agents and anti-acne serums to the needed depth. The device is battery operated, allowing for freedom of movement without interference from an attached power cord.
What can I expect during and after treatment?
Topical numbing cream is applied before your treatment. There is minimal to any discomfort during the treatment. Clients may notice redness that can last from 24-48 hours, although many clients have minimal discoloration as soon as 30 minutes after the treatment. Improvement is seen after one treatment, but a series of 3-6 treatments spaced about 4-6 weeks apart is recommended.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein, used to block nerve impulses and temporarily relax muscles that cause wrinkles. BOTOX® has been available for since 1989 and approved for cosmetic use since 2002. It is approved in over 75 countries for numerous uses. It is the most popular cosmetic procedures in the world.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is primarily used for treatment of wrinkles. Only dynamic wrinkles may be treated with BOTOX® Cosmetic. Dynamic wrinkles are those that become apparent with active facial movement. The areas commonly treated with BOTOX® Cosmetic for wrinkles are:
What can I expect during and after treatment?
The treatment consists of a series of injections into the area which you, the client, want to relax. Typically the entire procedure will last between 5-10 minutes. The discomfort is minimal. There will be small bumps at the injection sites for at most 15 minutes.
A client should actively move the muscles injected to promote absorption of the BOTOX® Cosmetic. Do not rub the areas, and do not wear a hat for at least 3 hours. Avoid strenuous physical activity for those first 3 hours as well.
When will I see the results and how long will they last?
You will not see the results until 36-48 hours. In some clients, this can take up to 5 days. Complete results will be apparent in 7-10 days. Results will last for 3-6 months, with most clients getting about 4 months of effect. As the BOTOX® Cosmetic wears off you will gradually see return of the muscle function and the wrinkles. For best results get repeat BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments before the prior treatment’s effects are completely worn off.
Can BOTOX® can be used to control sweating?
BOTOX® is FDA approved for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). The most commonly treated areas are underarms and hands. Treatment for the underarms is easily tolerated. Hand treatments historically required a simple nerve block to control discomfort, but spa810 uses a technique for the hand injections which requires no nerve blocks. After one treatment results last about 6 months. With a second treatment you may see results for a year or longer. Typically 100 units are required for best results.
Dermal fillers are gels or compounds which are injected to fill creases, folds, and deep wrinkles on the face. They offer immediate improvement in a client’s appearance. More recently, fillers have been used to volumize the aging face.
We offer a variety of Allergan fillers including: Juvederm Ultra Plus XC, Juvederm Ultra XC, and Juvederm Vollure XC.
Which areas are commonly injected?
How long do the dermal fillers last?
Dermal fillers can last anywhere from 3 months to 18 months or longer. The exact duration is determined by the area of placement and the dermal filler used. In general, the more muscle movement, the less longevity of the filler. The body reabsorbed gradually reabsorbs the dermal fillers, and when they are fully absorbed you can expect to go back to your pretreatment appearance. It is best to have touch up injections rather than wait until complete absorption occurs.
What can I expect after the treatment?
One can expect some post treatment swelling for a couple days, which may last up to one week. It is therefore recommend to not have this treatment within 2 weeks of any special occasion. Bruising can occur and can last up to 2 weeks, but bruises are much less common with blunt cannulas.
